The Valley of the Giants fly-in will be held at the Champlain Valley Flyers home field on 591 Bridge Rd., Crown Point New York. We made this move because of the effort involved in maintaining two flying fields.
Safety: There will be a pilot’s meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pilots should make every effort to attend this meeting to review safety rules and to be apprised of last-minute announcements or schedule changes. Pilots are expected to adhere to the AMA Safety Code without exception. By their participation, pilots– and not the event sponsors–accept full responsibility for ensuring the airworthiness of their own models and operation of their aircraft, whether on the ground or airborne.
Hours of Operation: Controlled operation of the flying field will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Please do not fly any Planes other than quiet electric before 9:00 a.m. on any day. Open flying will take place at all other times.
Registration: A registration/landing fee of $20 per pilot applies. Landing fees entitle pilots to participate in the event for their entire stay, beginning as early as Wednesday, June 26th and lasting through June 30th.
To register in advance by mail, send your name, mailing address, email address and phone number along with a check made payable to Champlain Valley Flyers in the amount of $20 to Bruce Burgess, CVF Treasurer, 1394 Munger Street, Middlebury, VT 05753.
Onsite registration will open from Wednesday, June 26 and remain open for the duration of the event.
